From January to July, the total profits of industrial enterprises above designated size nationwide reached RMB 4.58206 trillion, up 17.6% year on year.
From January to July, among industrial enterprises above designated size, state‑controlled enterprises recorded total profits of RMB 1.49189 trillion, up 16.3% year on year; joint‑stock enterprises reported total profits of RMB 3.54940 trillion, an increase of 23.6%; foreign‑invested enterprises and those invested by Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan posted total profits of RMB 1.01378 trillion, up 1.2%; and private enterprises achieved total profits of RMB 1.13522 trillion, a rise of 10.9%.
From January to July, the mining sector recorded total profits of RMB 666.05 billion, up 34.9% year on year; the manufacturing sector reported total profits of RMB 3,437.60 billion, an increase of 18.8%; and the electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply sector posted total profits of RMB 478.42 billion, down 5.8%.
From January to July, profit performance across major industries was as follows: the computer, communications, and other electronic equipment manufacturing sector saw profits rise 110% year on year; nonferrous metal smelting and rolling processing grew by 91.8%; chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing increased by 56.6%; coal mining and washing expanded by 50.4%; oil and natural gas extraction rose by 15.4%; the textile industry grew by 7.9%; general-purpose equipment manufacturing advanced by 1.4%; special-purpose equipment manufacturing increased by 0.8%; electrical machinery and apparatus manufacturing declined by 7.6%; the electricity and heat production and supply sector fell by 8.0%; the agricultural and sideline food processing industry decreased by 12.3%; automobile manufacturing dropped by 20.4%; the nonmetallic mineral products industry contracted by 48.2%; ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing shrank by 51.2%; and the petroleum, coal, and other fuel processing industry turned from a loss to a profit.
From January to July, industrial enterprises above designated size recorded operating revenue of RMB 80.92 trillion, up 6.5% year on year; their operating costs totaled RMB 68.79 trillion, an increase of 5.9%; and the operating revenue profit margin stood at 5.66%, up 0.54 percentage points from the same period last year.
At the end of July, total assets of industrial enterprises above designated size amounted to RMB 195.76 trillion, up 6.4% year on year; total liabilities stood at RMB 114.33 trillion, an increase of 7.1%; and total equity reached RMB 81.43 trillion, up 5.5%. The asset–liability ratio was 58.4%, up 0.3 percentage points from the same period last year.
At the end of July, accounts receivable of industrial enterprises above designated size totaled RMB 28.88 trillion, up 8.5% year on year; finished goods inventories stood at RMB 7.27 trillion, an increase of 10.8%.
From January to July, for industrial enterprises above designated size, costs accounted for 85.00 yuan per 100 yuan of operating revenue, down 0.47 yuan year on year; expenses amounted to 8.41 yuan per 100 yuan of operating revenue, a decrease of 0.09 yuan year on year.
At the end of July, for industrial enterprises above designated size, operating revenue per 100 yuan of assets stood at 72.2 yuan, up 0.3 yuan year on year; per capita operating revenue reached 1.913 million yuan, an increase of 125,000 yuan compared with the same period last year; inventory turnover days for finished goods were 21.3 days, up 0.6 days year on year; and the average collection period for accounts receivable was 71.9 days, an increase of 0.9 days year on year.
In July, profits of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 11.2% year on year.
